I’m a technical writer based in Israel. My background as an information specialist helps me distill long and complex information into a digestible text. About Me

Do you like reading long and boring texts about your toaster? Me neither! And I absolutely don’t like writing about it. It can be an explainer, an article or a video—the goal is to keep it simple and to the point. Hi, I’m Liat Regev. I am a technical writer who likes playing with code. I have a BA in English Literature and Linguistics, and I have a strong interest in the intersection of technology and writing. I’m not a native English speaker, but I lived in the USA for 5 years, where I met and communicated with people of many different backgrounds. Coffee Maker Quick Start

Has your Moka pot ever exploded? Well, mine has…So for the safety of all coffee lovers, I created a quick start guide for Bialetti Moka Express. My main goals were to keep the guide short and let the graphics do most of the talking.

Techno-Ad is a distributor and manufacturer of standard and custom sealing solutions. The company hired me to write a blog article that features their expertise in chloramine-resistant rubber. My challenge was to write a technical piece that promotes Techno-Ad’s products and services.

Knowledge Base Articles

This was a homework assignment for a Technical Communication course. I created 5 knowledge base articles for the Whatsapp application, each of a different type (Informational, How-to, Referential, Troubleshooting, and FAQ). The challenges included focusing only on information relevant to the user and linking articles and pieces of information to each other.

GitHub Glossary

This is a team project for Our Best Words Technical Communication course. My project partner and I worked together to create a glossary of Cloud and SaaS terms. We assembled a list of terms and divided the workload between us. Then we reviewed each other's definitions. After much editing, we formatted the glossary using Markdown and added our glossary to the course's GitHub repository.

GitHub YouTube Tutorial

I created a YouTube video tutorial that shows 3 ways to upload files to GitHub without using the command line. To create this video, I used QuickTime Player. The tools shown in the video include GitHub, GitHub Desktop, and Visual Studio Code.
